Mansour El-Kikhia, chair of the political science department at the University of Texas at San Antonio, has returned to Libya after a 30-year exile to advise the rebel opposition.
CNNs Eliot Spitzer interviewed El-Kikhia about his impressions of Libya, which he said has taught him to look at life in a different way.
From a family of outspoken dissidents, El-Kikhia fled Libya three decades ago to escape the oppressive dictator Moammar Gadhafi.
