Running all over the place on Friday but heres a quick update.

The Grand River Renegades advanced to the WCSSAA boys hockey final with a 6-3 win over the St. David Celtics.

The Rens jumped out to a 6-0 lead and that was all she wrote.

Theyll face the St. Marys Eagles in the best-of-three championship final starting Tuesday.

The Forest Heights Trojans won the CWOSSA junior girls volleyball final in a five-set thriller over the Sir John A. Macdonald Highlanders. The Trojans won 25-21, 16-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12 against the same squad they beat on Tuesday night in the WCSSAA final.

A great effort by both teams, especially Forest Heights Darian Moore and SJAMs Yvonne Pan.

Forest Heights and Grand River are both heading to the OFSAA quad-A senior girls volleyball tournament by reaching the CWOSSA final on Friday night.

The teams are still 22 minutes away from playing as I write this, but the outcome wont change a thing.

The Renegades booked their OFSAA ticket with semifinal win over the Resurrection Phoenix.

At the quad-A basketball event, junior semifinals are set. Forest Heights and St. Marys have moved on from Pool A and Cameron Heights is done in Pool B.
