I am 13 years old and I knew a pretty good amount of Spanish before I bought Rosetta Stone. I had used many different types of learning before. I finally decided to order Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin America) Level 2. My goal was to learn past and future tense. It was wonderful! I am so excited to visit a Spanish speaking country! My Latin American friends were very surprised at how well I had improved in such a short time. The way you learn with Rosetta Stone is the best way. I hadnt even realized I was picking so many things up! I would recommend this product to anyone.

The Passing of a Lovely Man

Darryl Strawser passed away Tuesday morning; we and the rest of the world have lost a lovely man. I never saw him without a smile on his face and his good humor was contagious to everyone. Everyone except perhaps the photo student who was being ripped apart for a poor photograph and who became a much better photographer because of Darryl’s insightful criticism. Darryl left behind many aspiring and successful young people who took photographic giant steps from his influence and Darryl’s ever vigilant persistence on perfection.

Yet he was not just an extraordinary teacher. First and foremost he was the most courageous person I have ever known. He battled a horrible disease for more years than anyone else.

      In Russia, the winter holidays signify the arrival of a festive duo: Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden. The grandfather and granddaughter arrive on New Year’s Eve, having traveled through the forests from their home in the nearby Russian town, Veliky Ustyug. Some legends depict Grandfather Frost riding a troika, a type of traditional Russian sled with three horses. Other sources insist that he travels by foot, carrying his large sack of presents.

      Grandfather Frost, or Ded Moroz as he’s called in Russia, wears a heavily embroidered blue or red fur-trimmed coat. He also carries a staff and dons a rounded, furry hat. The
